Mike's Journal
DAY 14
DATE: Tuesday, September 5, 2012
TIME: 10:50pm
A. OPENING THOUGHTS/OBSERVATIONS:
I was able to talk to my fiancee, Laura. Due directly to this work in the gym, I was able to communicate more openly with her about things. The week is very busy, therefore physical exercise and time at gym seems to be scarce, but I know it’s building up to something amazing.
Today I changed my workout routines to Supersets between two exercises focusing on the same muscle group. I will encourage readers to also change their routine on their own DAY 15. My body feels ready for a new challenge and with Supersets I can accomplish twice as much in almost the same amount of time.
Spiritually speaking, I have moments of perceiving the eternal. Fleeting moments where the universe seems to fade in with eternal light and peace pervading my being. Little by little, I’m relinquishing my ego as I continue to practice my daily meditations. Something incredible is happening inside of me which doesn't hinge on what happens outside in the world.
B. DREAM ENTRY:
Dreams have offered a little conflict recently. Dreamed about snakes coming out of my mouth and getting stuck there. I recognize the snake as representing wisdom but modern society also fears the snake. So I recognize the power of writing a book like this but I might get “stuck” with the fact that I’m asking readers to be honest about their emotions. My ego tells me that people aren't ready for that and a book like this isn't wanted. Snakes coming from my mouth representing that what I'm saying is wisdom but also considered poisonous. The book's content will have both an illuminating yet fearful effect. I will counsel myself to write in spite of my fear of what I perceive as other people’s fear.
C.
DAY 15 (today) is when you switch your physical routine. The Emotional Exercises
are now focused on calibrations for each one of your intentions.
Between sets you will move up on the emotional scale for each intention
until satisfied with what you need to do in order to move forward in
making each intention a reality. (Hint: By the time you work with
"Willingness" or "Determination" you should be taking some sort of
action toward the fulfillment of your Quest.)
Example: Exercise 1 - Chest Press
After Set 1: Desire (Intention - Increased Confidence)
I want change in how I communicate to people.
I want a better body.
I want people to turn their heads when I walk in a room.
After Set 2: Anger
I’m angry that people sometimes don’t understand me.
I’m angry that I see my flaws in the mirror.
I’m angry that I’m less than perfect.
